King's Living Room

A sneak peek of Mr and Mrs Kings house and living room.

The bare bones of a room is four walls a floor and a ceiling.
It is an art and takes skill to turn a blank space into a place where someone wants to live.
Smart design + beautiful furnishings + personal accents >>> define a home.

When you drive down the cul-de-sac a shot of their house.

The porch is spruced up with evergreens.
when you enter the house you step right into the living room.
It just recently got a fresh coat of white paint (Simply White) and a new carpet.

I love how the old sentimental pieces accent the quality products as well.
The couches are a part of the Bentley collection from Kings Acres
Artwork from Metal & Crate with window frames from Holland
Clock was from King's Homestead
Quilt from Mr. King's family
Piece with so many drawers - from Great Uncle Jake's woodshop.

Extend-a-Bench

If you love hosting people and struggle to find seating, let us recommend a bench that extends much like an extendable kitchen table.

It doesn't take much space, but they can seat up to six adults.
There are many styles available to fit any home.
As all our furniture, they are available in multiple types of wood and stains to compliment your existing furniture or to complete the set you are currently ordering (or eyeballing)

Gingerbread Men Cookies

We have found the best gingerbread cookie dough recipe to date!
and with a bit of imagination and frosting - They become their own personalities.

The week of Thanksgiving it just seemed fitting to make gingerbread men...so we did > and we fell in love with them.  They are the best, also having little helpers in the kitchen while making them certainly ups the cuteness factor.
The recipe can be found on Taste of Home's website. Although we didn't follow the frosting recipe and stuck with a simple -er version I remember from my childhood.
10x sugar with just enough milk to make the frosting the desired consistency.
One of my favorite thing about this, if you can mix up a batch (or 3) wrap them up and chill in the fridge until you are ready to make some more cookies.  You can even freeze the dough for later although we've never done that because we have darling 3 year old who says..."mom, we should make cookies right now!"  before having breakfast.
Make them today.
They are so delicious you'll have a hard time keeping your hands off of them!
